Finely machined reeds, valves, precision mechanics, keys, buttons, wood, metal and of course the bellows are the soul of the instrument. The vast amount of individual parts and the impressive logic in how they are arranged within the instrument as seen in the picture opposite leave the viewer in awe and fascination.
Few musical instruments are so complex and contain so many different parts. Out of this complexity comes a versatile and mobile instrument alive with tonality. This was the goal of the first accordion makers over 180 years ago and its achievement is evident in the popularity of the accordion worldwide.
Hohner has raised and surpassed the goal of the early days and now designs accordions in-house using the most modern equipment for manufacture worldwide. In this way we can offer you these little works of wonder in quality workmanship at an affordable price. For over 100 years Hohner has been dedicated to the advancement of lively and diverse music communities and our current accordion line can contribute to this goal like never before.
The Cajun Style Ariette Accordion is ideal for the beginner/student and other folk styles. The Hohner Ariette Accordion has a traditional design with four treble stops, open key mechanism and Cajun tuning. The Hohner Ariette is played in a "driving" uptempo rhythm, like a fiddle. The Ariette has been the choice of People around the world because of it's easy playability. The sound of the Ariette comes from great music which originated in the Mississippi delta of the deep south. In this small region, music such as the blues, jazz, cajun, zydeco, folk and gospel were born. This accordion can also be used for International Folk styles.
