When Traveler Guitar released their ever popular Escape series guitars in
2003, we not only exceeded the expectations of guitar purists, but also our own
dedicated customer base. Now, nearly four years later, we have done it again
with the Escape MK-II. The updated Escape line still includes a full-scale steel
string, classical, and bass model. Improved ergonomics make the MK-II feel more
like a traditional guitar than ever before. Not only has the body been updated,
but the new MK-II also boasts a custom Hybrid-Element pickup system from none
other than the industry's leading pickup innovator, L.R. Baggs. All three models
come equipped with the system which has onboard electronics with a 2-band EQ, a
built in headphone amplifier, and like all Travelers, the ability to be plugged
directly into a traditional amplifier for live applications. The entire Escape
MK-II line features classic finish options with elegant binding, laminate spruce
and cedar tops and traditional mahogany stains. This top of the line acoustic
series from Traveler comes complete with a road worthy gig-bag from High Sierra;
making the Escape MK-II the absolute best solution for acoustic players on the
go. Like the other models in the Escape MK-II line, this classical travel guitar
is packed with improved ergonomics and popular features. A 22-fret, full 25 ½
inch scale, non-radiused fingerboard and a comfortable body profile make this
instrument feel like a traditional classical guitar. Every Escape MK-II comes
equipped with a custom L.R. Baggs Hybrid-Element headphone amplifier,
headphones, elegant binding, ebonized fingerboard, traditional finish options
and a sturdy, custom-designed gig-bag from High Sierra.
