Yamaha: Mouthpiece, Trumpet (6S) (YTR14A4A)

Yamaha: Mouthpiece, Trumpet (6S)

The Yamaha trumpet mouthpiece in size 14A4A is comparable to a Giardinelli Trumpet Mouthpiece in size 6S.  This is a standard mouthpiece to explore stage work, lead playing, rock music, pop or jazz band or any kind of music where you want the trumpet to ‘cut’ through a group. It has a VERY bright sound and is designed to play in the upper register. The smallest size cup (size ‘a’) makes playing in the upper register much easier, it has the nice cushion rim for the lips (size ‘4’) and the smaller ‘tight’ (size ‘a’) backbore will give you that extra push needed for the upper register. This is also a fine mouthpiece for 2nd part player in a jazz/rock group. This quality brass mouthpiece contributes to the high regard Yamaha has earned among beginner and professional musicians alike. The result of a special approach to design and manufacturing, Yamaha mouthpieces deliver the performance and comfort required where they are needed most: where instrument meets musician. The mouthpiece production technique used by Yamaha ensures consistent quality mouthpieces, time after time.  Other manufacturers use a specific cutting tool to create every mouthpiece, which causes problems as tools start to wear. This can result in inconsistent quality and poor performance. Yamahas computer-aided design system and computer controlled lathe work together to produce the most precise, consistent mouthpieces in the world.
